Your rights as our patient

This charter describes what you can expect from our staff and how we work with you. If anything falls short, please report it to the Director General for prompt resolution.

  1. The patient is our priority.
  2. The patient's needs are our topmost responsibility.
  3. The patient's health records and information are confidential and must be kept secret.
  4. The patient must be accorded the utmost respect and his or her dignity upheld.
  5. The patient is not our contender but our cherished customer.
  6. The religious denominations and beliefs of our patients must be duly acknowledged without personal sentiments.
  7. The consent of the patient must be sought before any procedure.
  8. The patient has the right to receive or refuse treatment.
  9. The patient reserves the right to receive clear interpretation of treatments and payments received and made to the facility respectively.
  10. No staff takes money from a patient except the cashier, and receipts must be issued for all transactions.
  11. Patients must not purchase any item from staff unless certified by the Director General.
  12. Patients and relatives must not be attacked verbally or physically.
  13. Any challenge encountered between a staff member and a client must be promptly reported to the Director General for amicable resolution.
